1. This robe of flesh keeps getting
worn and older,
And soon I’ll hear the Savior calling
me;
"Come home, My child, your work
on earth is over,
You’ve fought the fight, come share
the victory!"
Chorus: Eternal home, not built by
mortal hands,
Awaiting me there on that peaceful
shore;
No death, no pain, no tears to dim
my eyes again,
There Jesus lives and reigns forevermore.
2. This house of flesh I will not
need much longer,
It’s getting old and weaker ev’ry
day;
I will not fear for Jesus will be
with me,
Just like before and all along the
way!
3. O glorious thought, soon I shall
see my Savior!
Who died for me and saved me by
His grace;
This robe of flesh I’ll leave and
rise immortal,
And there I’ll see my Savior face
to face.
